Vergennes Area Rescue Squad is a mix of volunteer, per diem, and full-time staff ambulance service that serves the city of Vergennes as well as the towns of Addison, Panton, Waltham, Ferrisburgh, parts of New Haven, and Monkton, along with responding to several other towns for mutual aid emergencies.
Vergennes Area Rescue Squad runs approximately 900 calls a year within our service area. Additionally, we provide mutual aid to our surrounding towns of Charlotte, Bristol, and Middlebury.
Vergennes Area Rescue Squad is a BLS and ALS support ambulance service, with our membership trained from CPR-certified Drivers, Vermont Emergency First Responders (VEFR), our NREMT Certified EMR, EMT, and AEMT Providers.
