Vergennes Rescue serves the city of Vergennes as well as the towns of Addison, Panton, Waltham, Ferrisburg, and parts of
New Haven and Monkton, and responding to several other towns for mutual aid emergencies, we respond to hundreds of emergencies
a year. There has been a significant increase in our call volume over the last couple of years. In 2003 we responded to
626 calls, 656 in 2004, and a record 840 in 2005. In 2006, we responded to over 750 emergency calls.
We are proud to be awarded
the 2005 Vermont Ambulance Service of the year by the State of Vermont. Thank you

all our members who have helped to make this possible.
Our Community Training Center offers CPR and first aid classes to
individuals, organizations, and private groups. Please click the links to the left for more information.
Our dedicated membership
is made up of First Responders, EMT-Basics, and EMT-Intermediate ’03's which allow us to provide quality, advanced life support care
to the communities that we serve. Our members are expertly trained through a comination of classes and monthly continuing education
sessions.
Members of other services are welcome to check out our Training Calendar for 2007. We offer complete training
throughout the year to meet the demands of all levels of providers with many great speakers and lectures.
The Vergennes Area Rescue
Squad is a nonprofit, volunteer agency. We bill for services and respond to everyone who calls for assistance, regardless of their
ability to pay. For individuals without insurance or deductibles, we offer a subscription program to alleviate hardships. If

1999 marked our 30 year anniversary. We would like to thank all of members, past and present, who have dedicated
