Applying to Vergennes Area Rescue Squad
Vergennes Rescue is always looking for new members! No experience is needed and we will work with you to obtain the required training.
We have 3 positions a member works towards to fill:
Crew Chief: an experienced EMT or AEMT that oversees and directs each EMS call. The Crew Chief is responsible for providing patient care and leading fellow crew members.
Driver: is in charge of safely driving the ambulance to and from calls. Assist with patient care under the direction and supervision of the Crew Chief
Third Crew Member/Attendant: An EMT or AEMT that works under the supervision and direction of the Crew Chief. This provider aids in patient care.
All new members or members in training work as a fourth crew member while working towards one of the positions above.
